Campaign Spending Commission Meeting

Members Present:

Call to Order:
Meeting convened at 3:30 p.m. with Chairman Black presiding.

Consideration of Minutes:
Deferred until next meeting.

Old Business:
Draft Advisory Opinion 00-12 Candidate Endorsements
Draft advisory opinion addresses section 11-200, which prohibits candidates from using campaign contributions received for their campaign to support or oppose another candidate. This includes the transfer of anything of value.

After some discussion, it was felt that the opinion would be better served if specific references were deleted.

Ms Chock moved to approve draft advisory opinion 00-12 with discussed amendments, Ms Au seconded. Motion carried.

Scheduled for Tuesday, February 13, 2001 at 3:30 p.m.

Chairman Black recessed public session to convene executive session to confer with Deputy Attorney General.

Public session reconvened and with no further business to discuss Chairman Black adjourned meeting.
