Call to Order
Meeting convened at 3:35 p.m. with Chairman Black presiding.
Consideration of Minutes:
Mr. Muraoka moved to approve the minutes of March 13, 2001; Ms. Chock seconded. Motion carried.
Mr. Chock moved to approve the minutes of April 17, 2001; Mr. Muraoka seconded. Motion carried.
Mr. Muraoka moved to approve the minutes of May 8, 2001; Ms. Chock seconded. Motion carried.
New Business:
Draft Advisory Opinion #01-05 Contribution Limits as Impacted by Reapportionment or a Special Election
The purpose of draft advisory opinion is to clarify the interpretation of the contribution limits of section 11-204 as it was amended during the 2000 legislative session. The interpretation is for the length of term of the office. The language change intended to insure that even though candidates were running for a two-year term, contributors would be allowed to give $4,000.
Mr. Muraoka moved to approve amended draft advisory opinion 01-05; Ms. Chock seconded. Motion carried.

Ms. Chock moved to recess public session to convene executive session to consult with Deputy Attorney General Toguchi; Mr. Muraoka seconded. Motion carried.
