Digital Collections
As part of an effort to provide better service to the public, the
Hawai‘i State Archives began digitizing paper records and indexes, and
preparing them for Internet access. Below are collections that
have been digitized.

- Indexes to Divorce Case Files, 1848-1915

- Index to Wills, 1852-1916

- Name Index, 1790-1950
An index by personal or business name to records and letterbooks of Hawaii Interior Department and Foreign Office and Executive, some private collections, library books, pamphlets, broadsides, newspapers and periodicals. It is most complete for the Interior Department and the Foreign Office and Executive records. Newspapers (1836-1950) include the Advertiser, Star Bulletin, Polynesian, Hawaiian Gazette, and the Friend, but none of them are completely indexed. Presently only the names Aalona to Ahloy are in this digital collection.
