Cyber Security Team
The Cyber Security Team is part of the Planning and Project
Management Office (PPMO) that falls under the Information and
Communications Services Division (ICSD). The Cyber Security Team
was created in 2007 to help protect the State’s critical cyber
infrastructure by developing policies, protocols, and processes to help
mitigate cyber security incidents.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Information and Communication Services Division’s cyber security program is to provide solutions and services that protect and preserve the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of electronic information resources critical to the Executive Branch of the State of Hawaii.
Vision
By forming partnerships and encouraging collaboration, the cyber security program will be the centralized resource, providing cyber security leadership and expertise for the State of Hawaii.
Information & Communications Services Division
The ICSD of the Department of Accounting and General Services is the
lead agency for information technology in the Executive Branch. It is
responsible for comprehensively managing the information processing and
telecommunication systems in order to provide services to all agencies
of the State of Hawaii. The ICSD plans, coordinates, organizes,
directs, and administers services to insure the efficient and effective
development of systems.
Over the years, there have been tremendous advances in technology and
an increased reliance on telecommunications and computers in the
workplace. The ICSD has met the challenges of the information industry
and is leading the way in implementing cost-effective and efficient
information and communication services. The proper application and
installation of these technologies continues to be a key component
towards the accomplishment of the business operations and services of
State government.
