Glossary
The following Glossary was developed for the Wai‘anae Ecological Characterization (WEC). It includes both technical and Hawaiian terms used throughout the WEC. Definitions were compiled from various sources, listed at the end of the glossary, and their use in the WEC is intended as an additional educational resource.
Bibliography
An extensive collection of sources was compiled for developing the WEC. These documents include books, journal and newspaper articles, government reports, on-line documents, and Web sites. Several sources are available only as technical reports, dissertations, thesis papers, and unpublished manuscripts.
The following Bibliography is a compilation of all references used to develop the WEC and all sources containing related information that may be relevant to the topics discussed. References are grouped by subject according to the major topics addressed within the characterization.
