Abstract:: This dataset shows the location of agricultural lands in the Waianae moku (traditional district) on the Hawaiian Island of Oahu. It was clipped from a larger dataset that shows agricultural lands for the main Hawaiian Islands.
Purpose:: The purpose of this data set is to show agricultural lands within the Waianae moku on the Hawaiian Island of Oahu. It is part of a larger effort to provide the Waianae community, located on the western side of Oahu, ecological and cultural spatial data to assist in their land and resource management efforts.

Process_Description:

This data set was clipped using ESRI ArcGIS to show only the agricultural lands within the Waianae moku. It was clipped from the state coverage entitled AgLandUse that shows agricultural land for the main Hawaiian Islands.

The original coverage was created as follows: Digitized in Arc/Info version 6 using ArcEdit by the Office of State Planning (OSP) from State Department of Agriculture's 1:24,000 stabiline maps. These maps were compiled and drafted during 1978-80 from information from State DOA Planning and Development Section, and the US Soil Conservation Service.
