Abstract:: This dataset shows bus stops for TheBus in the Waianae moku (traditional district) on the Hawaiian Island of Oahu. It was clipped from a larger dataset that shows bus stops for the whole island of Oahu.
Purpose:: The purpose of this data set is to show bus stops for TheBus within the Waianae moku on the Hawaiian Island of Oahu. It is part of a larger effort to provide the Waianae community, located on the western side of Oahu, ecological and cultural spatial data to assist in their land and resource management efforts.

Process_Description:

This data set was converted from Hawaii State Plane to NAD 1983 Zone 4N. It was then clipped using ESRI ArcGIS to show only the bus stops within the Waianae moku. It was clipped from a larger shapefile that showed TheBus bus stops for the Island of Oahu.

The original coverage was created by Oahu Transit Services, Inc. staff through a survey of the bus stops using a differentially-corrected KVH GPS unit with heading senor and dead reckoning system.
