Abstract:: This dataset shows the 2001 U.S. Congressional Boundaries for the Hawaiian Island of Oahu. It was clipped from a larger dataset that includes the 2001 U.S. Congressional Boundaries for the eight main Hawaiian Islands.
Purpose:: The purpose of this data set is to display the 2001 U.S. Congressional Boundaries for the Hawaiian Island of Oahu. It is part of a larger effort to provide the Waianae community, located on the western side of Oahu, ecological and cultural spatial data to assist in their land and resource management efforts.

This data set was clipped using ESRI ArcGIS to show only the U.S. Congressional Boundaries for the Island of Oahu. It was clipped from the state coverage entitled Congress01 that shows Congressional boundaries for the eight main Hawaiian Islands.

The original data layer was primarily derived from 1:100,000 Tiger Line Files by the State of Hawaii, Office of Elections. January 2002
