Abstract:: This dataset shows Fire Stations, Health Centers, Libraries, Post Offices, Police Stations, and Courthouses (City Hall) for the the Waianae moku (traditional district) on the Hawaiian Island of Oahu. It was created based on maps from the TMK Oahu Street and Condo Map Book, 16th edition.
Purpose:: The purpose of this data set is to show public facilities for the town of Makaha in the Waianae moku on the Hawaiian Island of Oahu. It is part of a larger effort to provide the Waianae community, located on the western side of Oahu, ecological and cultural spatial data to assist in their land and resource management efforts.

Features in the dataset were added manually using ESRI ArcGIS 8.3. Point locations were estimated by referencing the location of the features from the TMK Oahu Street and Condo Map Book. Attribute information was based on the TMK Oahu Street and Condo Map Book as well.
