Abstract:

File of Emergency Shelters in Maui County based on the list published on the County of Maui website, Civil Defense. Data is dated 12/1/2005. Addresses for locations is provided. Four shelters were removed from the list on 11/21/06 based on information from Civil Defense. (Paia Elementary, Kaunakakai Elementary, Dole Community Center and Lahaina Civic Center)

Purpose:

To locate emergency shelters and to identify if they are Tsunami and/or Hurricane shelters.

Supplemental_Information:

Majority of shelters are located at schools. Those shelters were co-located with school locations based on the 2006 school data developed by Maui County.
