Description:	Locations of mile markers for the state highways and the major roads on the
 		Islands of Hawaii, Maui, and Molokai
		
Source:		DLNR, Division of Forestry and Wildlife (DOFAW).  The DOFAW staff in the
		Hawaii, Maui, and Molokai branches drove on the highways and the other
		important roads, marking the locations of the sighted mile markers on the
		USGS quadrangle maps.  On Maui, they also marked the bridges as well as other
		signs and lardmarks along the roads.
		
Methods:	The points marked on the quad maps were digitized on screen based on the digital
		quads layers.  

Accuracy:	Due to the hand marking on the maps, the locations of the markers are very
		approximate.

History:	Received by Office of Planning from DLNR, DOFAW in December 2004.
