DBEDT Tourism Forecast
Forecasts--1st Quarter 2012 (released on February 22, 2012)
Visitor arrivals are expected to increase 4.4 percent in 2012, 1.0 percentage point higher than the previous forecast of 3.4 percent. The forecast for visitor days in 2012 is revised to 4.4 percent, 1.4 percentage point higher than the previous forecasts. The forecast for visitor expenditure in 2012 is also revised upward to 6.4 percent from 5.6 percent growth projected in the previous forecast. For 2013, the growth rates of visitor arrivals, visitor days, and visitor expenditures are now expected to be 2.3 percent, 2.3 percent, and 4.5 percent, respectively.
