Taiwan Welcomes Hawaii Sports and Leisure Products

Honolulu--Hawaii producers of sports and leisure products may wish to explore opportunities in Taiwan. A major fitness show which runs from July 19 to 22, 2007 at the Taipei World Trade Center will give local businesses the opportunity to enter the rapidly-expanding Taiwan market for products' focusing on relaxation, health, beauty and family.

The Taiwan Sports Recreation & Leisure Show has five sections: Sporting Equipment, Sportswear, Recreation Vehicle, Fitness & Leisure and Home Entertainment.

"Taiwan, with a population of 23 million residents, boasts one the most developed economies and one of the highest standards of living in Asia. It has been said that almost a million people in Taiwan play golf," said DBEDT Director Theodore E. Liu. "Executives from fashion businesses, as well as clubs, resorts and sports facilities, are expected to join thousands of show participants who will be encouraged to make direct show floor purchases."
