HONOLULU--The Department of Business, Economic Development & Tourism (DBEDT) will sponsor a professional development event on Saturday, June 7, 2008 at the Outrigger Waikiki Hotel from 11:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on:

  • How to Market Music on the Web;
  • Build an audience;
  • Create new ways to make money in the digital world.

"The State's Creative Industries Division is committed to expanding the reach of Hawai'i's recording artists by providing assistance on how to market their creative talents," said Creative Industries Division Chief Georja Skinner. "This event will provide an opportunity to network and learn new ways to market their talents globally."

DBEDT is partnering with The Recording Academy Pacific Northwest Chapter to present this special workshop. It will feature both presentations and interactive workshops. Admission is free to Academy members and $50 for the general public.
