Software for Viewing TIFF Images

Developed for Microsoft, it is currently included as an accessory in every copy of Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT, and Windows 2000. Since it is part of the standard install, you may already have Imaging for Windows installed on your desktop. To find out if you do, click on the "Start" button, select "Programs" and then "Accessories," and look for "Imaging." Early versions of Windows 95 did not have this software and those users can download it free of charge. Users with later version of Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT 4.0, and Windows 2000 users can obtain this software directly from their operating system CDs.
Various other programs are available for viewing TIFF images. The table below shows free and low cost viewers and plug-ins for Windows and various other Operating Systems that are available for download.

Note: Some settings in QuickTime software conflict with tif viewer software. If you are unable to view a tif file with one of the viewers below and have QuickTime installed, contact your PC support service for assistance.
