After much study, this law was enacted in 1989 and on January 1, 1990 the
registration requirement became effective. Among other reasons, the
law was enacted to:
· Provide basic information about condominium associations and the availability of educational programs for condominium apartment owners that were funded by the Condominium Education Fund (CEF). The CEF was also enacted in 1989 (Act 285 SLH 1989);
· Assist the Commission with responding to inquiries on information about condominium projects.
