Resident Reinsurance Intermediary Manager

Resident Reinsurance Intermediary Manager - Individual (Initial License)

If you held a HI Resident Reinsurance Intermediary Manager license that was inactive for more than two years.

Resident Reinsurance Intermediary Manager - Individual (License Reactivation)

If you held a HI Resident Reinsurance Intermediary Manager license that was inactivated within two years.

Resident Reinsurance Intermediary Manager – Business Entity (Initial License)

If you held a HI Resident Reinsurance Intermediary Manager license that was inactive for more than two years.

Resident Reinsurance Intermediary Manager – Business Entity (License Reactivation)

If you held a HI Resident Reinsurance Intermediary Manager license that was inactivated within two years.

Resident Reinsurance Intermediary Manager – Individual or Business Entity (License Reinstatement)

If you held a HI Resident Reinsurance Intermediary Broker license that has been inactive for not more than thirty days, due to nonrenewal.

Resident Reinsurance Intermediary Manager - Individual (Initial License)

Before submitting your application: 

  1. You must be licensed as a HI Resident Producer, or submitting an application for a HI Resident Producer with your Resident Reinsurance Intermediary Manager license application. Each application must have its own check.
  2. To obtain fingerprints, schedule an appointment online at http://www.fieldprinthawaii.com. Fees collected by FieldPrint include state and federal submission fees. Be sure to select "Insurance Division." Otherwise, you may need to be re-fingerprinted at your own expense. If you are submitting applications for producer and reinsurance intermediary manager simultaneously, then you will only need to be fingerprinted once.

A complete paper application includes: 

  1. Form HPL – Hawaii Application for Individual Insurance License. 
  2. Bond. Refer to HRS §431:9B-102(c)(1). 
  3. Errors and omissions policy. Refer to HRS §431:9B-102(c)(2). 
  4. Licensing Fees. Make check payable to DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE AND CONSUMER AFFAIRS. 

 

Resident Reinsurance Intermediary Manager - Individual (License Reactivation)

Before submitting your application: 

  1. You must be licensed as a HI Resident Producer, or submitting an application for a HI Resident Producer with your Resident Reinsurance Intermediary Manager license application. Each application must have its own check.

Resident Reinsurance Intermediary Manager – Business Entity (Initial License)

Before submitting your application: 

You must be licensed as a HI Resident Producer, or submitting an application for a HI Resident Producer with your Resident Reinsurance Intermediary Manager license application. Each application must have its own check. 

 A complete paper application includes: 

  1. Form BEPL – Hawaii Application for Business Entity Insurance License / Registration. Submit one with original signature.
  2. The name of a licensed HI Producer (resident or nonresident) who is a natural person that will be responsible for the agency’s compliance with Hawaii insurance laws and rules. 
  3. A list of names of the agency’s officers, members, designated employees and directors who will act as reinsurance intermediaries under this license.
  4. Bond. Refer to HRS §431:9B-102(c)(1). 
  5. Errors and omissions policy. Refer to HRS §431:9B-102(c)(2). 
  6. Licensing Fees. Make check payable to DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE AND CONSUMER AFFAIRS.
