SCAP - Lemon Law
- The Hawaii "Lemon Law" helps consumers who buy or lease new motor vehicles and have repeated problems in getting their vehicles repaired under the manufacturer's warranty. The State Certified Arbitration Program (SCAP) provides the consumer with an arbitration process to resolve a Lemon Law dispute with a manufacturer. To see if you qualify for Lemon Law relief and to find out about the procedures involved in requesting and preparing for arbitration, carefully review the Lemon Law Consumer Handbook below. The actual law can be found in Hawaii Revised Statutes Chapter 481I.
