The Department of Hawaiian Home Lands (“DHHL”) and Department of Land and Natural Resources (“DLNR”) are jointly soliciting applications and development proposals from parties interested in entering into two (2) separate development agreements and/or general lease agreements for the construction, operation and management of this combined 25.4 acre parcel. DHHL and DLNR have selected and designated the subject properties for industrial/commercial mixed-use development and related facilities because of their zoning designations (Industrial/Commercial Mixed Use Development) and proximity to Hilo’s major industrial area, the Hilo International Airport and Hilo Harbor. The subject neighborhood is considered the principal, regional shopping and industrial district for the City of Hilo and greater East Hawaii.
