  • Reweaving Ohana Connections
  • In February of 2008, representatives from the Omaha, Nebraska Family Circuit Court, the Director of Nebraska's DHS,  and a Model Court Liaison from the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges, visited Hawaii to learn about the  best practices of our Family Court System.  One stop was at EPIC `Ohana Conferencing to observe an `Ohana Conference and Youth Circle.  The group was so impressed that the Model Court Liaison requested an article for the National Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Judges Page Newsletter.  Here is the article that describes our efforts to better serve the foster care children of Hawaii.  Stopping the Drift: Maintaining Family Connections for Foster Children
