The State of Hawaii – Department of Human Services (DHS) Child Care Connection Hawaii provides subsidies to help families pay for child care expenses. The DHS website contains the Child Care Services Rules, Chapter §17-798.1 of the Hawaii Administrative Rules. Information about the eligibility requirements for child care services can be found on this website under (Title 17, Chapter 17-798.1-9). Requirements specific to the Preschool Open Doors child care services program are under (Title 17, Chapter 17-798.1-29).
