The State of Hawaii – Department of Human Services (DHS) Child Care Connection Hawaii provides subsidies to help families pay for child care expenses. The DHS website contains the Child Care Services Rules, Chapter §17-798.1 of the Hawaii Administrative Rules. Information about the eligibility requirements for child care services can be found on this website under (Title 17, Chapter 17-798.1-9). Requirements specific to the Preschool Open Doors child care services program are under (Title 17, Chapter 17-798.1-29). The Full and Part-Time Tiered Reimbursement Rates For Child Care chart can be found as Attachment I in Chapter §17-798.1-14. The agency, People Attentive to Children (PATCH), offers Resource and Referral Services to families and training to child care providers. http://www.patchhawaii.org/

Good Beginnings - Maui County strives to enhance the lives of young children, birth to age 8, by providing early care and education resources, training, leadership and coordination. Good Beginnings - Mauiis guided by the Maui County Good Beginnings Community Council and the early childhood plan they developed for Maui County. http://www.goodbeginningsmaui.org/
