2012-13 Stamp Art Contest

ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE WINNERS OF THE 2012-13 STAMP ART CONTEST

The Division of Forestry and Wildlife is pleased to announce the depiction of a mouflon ram by Carol Tredway as the the winning entry for the Wildlife Conservation Stamp, and the depiction of wild turkeys by Mike Brown as the winning entry for the Game Bird Stamp.  There were many excellent paintings of game animals submitted, and a slide show is being developed to be posted, so that all the entries can be shared.  Mahalo to all the artists who participated.

Catch Jason Scott Lee in The Rain Follows the Forest as he sets out on a journey to
learn about sustainable life in our island home. Through interesting conversations,
he learns about Hawaii's fragile fresh water supply and discovers connections
to our upland forest environment.

 

DLNR releases plan to ensure mauka watersheds are fully functioning
so fresh water resources can be utilized and
enjoyed by the people of Hawaii in perpetuity.
