DOBOR PUBLIC NOTICES AND DRAFT RULES

PUBLIC NOTICES

DLNR/DOBOR will be soliciting public comment on numerous
proposed rule changes affecting the boating community.

The proposed rule amendments are posted at http://hawaii.gov/dlnr/dbor/bordraftrules.htm

The rule package labeled Exhibit A contains numerous rule changes pertaining to
general operations for harbors and ocean recreation areas.

The rule package labeled Exhibit B is part of DLNR's Recreational Renaissance. It contains several
rule changes pertaining to mooring and other fees associated with use of DLNR's small
boat harbors. To learn more about this DLNR initiative, visit the
Recreational Renaissance Plan B web site.

DOBOR plans to host formal public hearings on this rule package by the close of 2009.
