The Hawaii Hunter Education Program offers a basic hunter education course which includes the following subjects:

Outdoor Responsibility/Ethics
Wildlife Conservation
Wildlife Identification
First Aid & Survival
Firearms Safety
Archery Safety
Muzzleloading Safety
Hunting Rules
Game Care
The basic course length is a minimum of 12 hours. Students must attend all course segments before they are allowed to take the 100 question exam. A passing score of 75% will result in a certificate, wallet card, window decal, and patch being issued to the graduate.
