POLICY SPECIALIST

$4,276-$4,809/month plus benefits*

 

Develops national and international policy initiatives and coordinates development of management plans, associated compliances, and other documents for the Monument.  Requires Master's Degree in Resource Management, Marine Policy, Natural Resources Planning, Marine Science, Fisheries Science, Biological Sciences, or related field, and 2-4 years of progressively responsible work experience in the successful development/ implementation of plans for project management. 

 

RESEARCH COORDINATOR

$4,276-$4,809/month plus benefits*

 

Coordinates/tracks research projects/activities occurring in the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands (NWHI) and represents the State's interests in the research planning for the Monument.  Requires Master's Degree in Resource Management, Marine Science, Fisheries Science, Biological Sciences, or related field, and 2-4 years of specialized work experience with a minimum of 2 years of experience in applied research projects and/or development of habitat protection plans. 

 

*Exempt Positions NTE 06-03-09; extensions are dependent upon available funding and receipt of required approvals.
