The Department of Land and Natural Resources, State of Hawaii, pursuant to Chapter 182, Hawaii Revised Statutes, will hold a public hearing to receive testimony on the proposed subordination of State mineral rights on lands owned by Pietsch Properties, LLC, in Pupukea, Oahu; TMK (1) 5-9-005:067.

This proposed subordination has been requested by the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), to allow the grant of funds under the federal Farm and Ranchland Protection Program (FRPP) for the purchase of a conservation easement by the Maui Coastal Land Trust on lands owned by Pietsch Properties, LLC, for the protection of the land’s natural, scenic, and agricultural resources.

Any person may testify or present information at the public hearings. Copies of the proposal, including maps, minerals information, and a description of the project, are available for inspection by contacting Molly Schmidt at the DLNR Division of Forestry and Wildlife office, Room 325, 1151 Punchbowl St. Honolulu, Hawai`i 96813 or via e-mail at molly.e.schmidt@hawaii.gov.
