Historic Preservation Review Process
Pertaining to Hawai`i Administrative Rules (HAR) Chapters 13-275 through 284
- any submittals to the SHPD office (including reports and plans) on or after that date will be subject to the specified review time periods and public comment provisions of HAR 13-275 through 284.
- any applicable fees must accompany all reports and plans submitted for review. Fees will only be collected at the Kapolei office on O`ahu. Please do not send any fees payments to SHPD's outer-island offices.
- every archaeologist conducting archaeological work in the state must obtain a permit from SHPD. An annual permit fee of $50 must be submitted along with the requisite documents, including current contact information and a current professional resume.
