TAG's New Year's Message

To our DoD Family,

As we begin to look behind us as 2011 begins to fade, I wanted to thank everyone for their efforts in helping "our department" be as successful as it can be. With a new administration and leadership in the State there is always an adjustment to make. I want to thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigated through this year with all the budget issues and uncertainty. Our YCA, SCD, OVS, and National Guard are always being highlighted for all they do for the community. But I also wanted to extend a special thanks to all our other departments that help to make everyone look good. Fiscal, USPFO and engineering are always in the background to keep our department functioning and on track.

Of course APEC was an event that had International attention and our Department has been acknowledge for its work. I want to make sure I/we thank everyone in this department because it was a combined effort. Of course SCD and the National Guard were very active in the planning and the execution for this event. But our FISCAL DEPARTMENT did an "OUTSTANDING" job working around the clock to ensure that our people that were put on State Active duty was processed and their paychecks out so they can enjoy some extra money for Christmas.

We have many unsung heroes!!!

As we take the step into 2012, I pledge to you all my commitment to continue to work towards listening to all of your concerns and to continue to improve our department. To keep us moving into an ever changing environment with the principles that I have set out in the beginning of my tenure....Innovation, collaboration, efficiency, and transparency. Each and every one of you are important in my eyes and it is the combined wellness of the parts that make us a successful family.

Tiki and I want to extend our wishes for - Health and Happiness in the Year of the Dragon!
