Leadership

The Adjutant General, or TAG, is appointed by the Governor. The Governor, is also the Commander-in-Chief of the Hawaii National Guard.

Major General Robert G.F. Lee is the Hawaii TAG and also the Director of the State Civil Defense and the Homeland Security Advisor.    

The Deputy Adjutant General is Brigadier General Gary M. Ishikawa.

The Commander of the Hawaii Army National Guard is Brig. Gen. Joseph J. Chaves.

The Commander of the Hawaii Air National Guard is Brig. Gen. Darryll D.M. Wong.

The State Civil Defense Vice Director is Edward T. Teixeira.

The Office of Veterans Services Director is Mark S. Moses.

The Youth CHalleNGe Academy Director is Richard W. Campbell.
