The Adjutant General, or TAG, is appointed by the Governor. The Governor, is also the Commander-in-Chief of the Hawaii National Guard.

 

 

 

Major General Darryll D.M. Wong is the Hawaii TAG and also the Director of the State Civil Defense and the Homeland Security Advisor.
