TEAM HICKAM COMPLETES MAJOR INSPECTION WITH HIGH MARKS
Team Hickam has completed a major Operational Readiness Inspection scoring exceptionally high marks. From February 7-13, a Pacific Air Forces (PACAF) Inspector General (IG) team evaluated both the active duty Air Force’s 15th Airlift Wing, the Hawaii Air National Guard’s (HIANG) 154th Wing and the 624th Regional Support Group. The results were released yesterday and all organizations showed superior performance that exceeded the Air Force’s mission requirements.
HAWAII ARMY NATIONAL GUARD SOLDIER DIES IN KUWAIT
The Defense Department has released the name of a Hawaii Army National Guard Soldier killed in a vehicle accident, February 19 in Kuwait. Specialist Cwislyn K. Walter, 19, of Honolulu, was assigned to HHC, 29th Brigade Special Troops Battalion (BSTB), 29th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (IBCT).

FIRST FEMALE HAWAII AIR NATIONAL GUARD GENERAL RETIRES
After a distinguished career spanning more than three decades, the Hawaii Air National Guard’s first female general has retired. Governor Linda Lingle was among the many dignitaries and flag officers who attended the retirement ceremony. Brigadier General Kathleen Berg became the first female general in the Hawaii Air National Guard (HIANG) in August 2005.
