F-22 FLYOVER SCHEDULED FOR VETERANS DAY CEREMONY AT PUNCHBOWL

The Hawaii Air National Guard will be conducting a four aircraft F-22 flyover in support of the Veterans Day ceremony at Punchbowl on Friday, November 11. The flyover will produce a considerable amount of noise; however residents should not be alarmed.

F-22 FLYOVER SCHEDULED FOR VETERANS DAY CEREMONY AT PUNCHBOWL

 

WHEN:           Friday, November 11, 2011, approximately 11:00 a.m.

 

WHERE:        National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, HI

 

WHO:             199th Fighter Squadron, Hawaii Air National Guard F-22 Raptors

 

WHAT:           In support of Mayor’s Veterans Day Ceremony at Punchbowl

 

 

HONOLULU, HAWAII- The Hawaii Air National Guard will be conducting a four aircraft F-22 flyover in support of the Veterans Day ceremony at Punchbowl on Friday, November 11. The flyover will produce a considerable amount of noise; however residents should not be alarmed.

 

The flyover will occur at approximately 11:00 a.m. The fighter jets will be flying a route over Kahala, following H-1, heading over Punchbowl Crater and finally, continuing along the Koolau mountain range.  

 

The Veterans Day flyover has been a tradition for decades, however this will be the first time the Hawaii Air National Guard will be supporting it with F-22 aircraft.
