HAWAII AIR NATIONAL GUARD BREAKS GROUND ON STATE-OF-THE-ART
F22 MAINTANCE FACILITY
The Hawaii Air National Guard will break Ground on it’s new state-of-the-art F22 maintenance facility. The ground breaking will occur at 1100 Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam. In today’s climate of both fiscal and energy austerity the 37 Million dollar facility will cost must less than originally expected and be a near-zero energy building. Governor Neil Abercrombie, and The State Adjutant General Darryll D.M. Wong will preside over the ceremony. General Gary L. North Commander, Pacific Air Forces will also be in attendance.
WHO: The Hawaii Air National Guard will be hosting a ground breaking ceremony, for the new F-22 maintenance facility on Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam. Governor Neil Abercrombie, and State Adjutant General Darryll D.M. Wong will speak at the event. General Gary L. North Commander, Pacific Air Forces, and Col. Braden “Mongo” Sakai 154th Wing Commander will also be in attendance.

WHERE: Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam F-22 Ramp. Meet Lt Col. Charles Anthony at 1000 at O’Malley Gate for access.
WHY: As a part of the Hawaii Air National Guards Conversion to F-22s a state-of-the-art maintenance facility, is being constructed at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam’s F-22 Ramp. This 37 Million Dollar facility is costing mush less than initially estimated and is expected to be a near-zero energy building. Once fully operational through the use of photo-voltaic panels and other green construction methods the building is expected to use next to no electricity from the grid during normal day to day operations.
