HAWAII AIR NATIONAL GUARD UNIT TO DEPLOY TO SOUTHWEST ASIA

HILO, HAWAII- About 50 Hawaii Air National Guard (HIANG) Airmen will deploy to Southwest Asia in support of Operation New Dawn (OND).

HAWAII AIR NATIONAL GUARD UNIT TO DEPLOY TO SOUTHWEST ASIA

 

 

HILO, HAWAII- About 50 Hawaii Air National Guard (HIANG) Airmen will deploy to Southwest Asia in support of Operation New Dawn (OND). The Hilo-based 291st Combat Communications Squadron started sending Airmen today. The rest of the unit will be leaving Hilo over the next several weeks to begin their six month long deployment. For security reasons, the exact departure times will not be announced.

 

The mission of the 291st will be to provide communications support to U.S. Air Force units within the 332nd Air Expeditionary Wing’s area of responsibility.
