12/02/11 - Hawaii Harbor System's revenue bond rating outlook has been upgraded from "negative" to "stable" according to Standard & Poor's. Improved operational measures and financial margins were cited.
11/08/11 - Fitch Ratings has affirmed the Hawaii Harbor System’s revenue bond rating at an “A+” grade, citing a stable future outlook. The ratings affirmation was based on Fitch’s positive analysis of the harbor system’s strong financial liquidity, scheduled tariff increases for cruise, cargo and pipelines, and the increased stability of the state’s economy.

08/15/11 - A groundbreaking ceremony was held this morning by the state Department for Transportation (DOT) for a $55 million Inter-Island Cargo Terminal Facility at Hilo Harbor. The new facility will increase the total amount of harbor space and improve operational safety and efficiency for users.
