Tariff Rates to be Implemented on March 1, 2010

Proposed amendments to Chapter 19-44, Hawaii Administrative Rules, entitled “Rules Relating to Services and Procedures, Charges, Tolls and Fees” have been adopted and take effect February 1, 2010. To provide harbors users with sufficient time to transition to the new rate, the division will begin assessing the new rate on March 1, 2010. The Division appreciates the comments and support received from the maritime community during the rule-making process. The tariff adjustments are critical to the commercial harbors system’s ability to meet revenue requirements, sustain existing services and maintain Hawaii’s lifeline to the world.
