HONOLULU — The state Department of Transportation advises Oahu motorists that three left lanes will be closed on the H-1 Freeway Airport Viaduct in the westbound direction from the Hickam AFB/Naval Base Off-Ramp (Exit 15) to the Waikiki/Nimitz Highway Off-Ramp (Exit 18A) on Sunday, February 5, from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., for roadway deck repairs. All on-ramps and off-ramps in the area will remain open.  To avoid delays, motorists are advised to use the H-201 Moanalua Freeway as an alternate route.

The westbound right lane on Nimitz Highway may also be closed in the same area, below the H-1 Airport Viaduct, to provide a safety zone for the work overhead.

Motorists are advised to use caution while driving through the work area and to allow for extra travel time.  Roadwork is weather permitting.
