Oahu Weekend Lane Closures Scheduled Friday Through Monday
Weekend lane closures are scheduled on the H-1 Freeway, H-2 Freeway, H-201 Moanalua Freeway, Farrington Highway and Fort Weaver Road. Please click on the link above for locations and details.
1) H-2 FREEWAY NORTHBOUND MILILANI MAUKA OFF-RAMP 24-HOUR CLOSURE (FRIDAY THROUGH MONDAY)
H-2 Freeway northbound Mililani Mauka off-ramp (Exit 5A) will be closed 24-hours a day from 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 9, through 4:00 a.m. on Monday, May 12, for pavement resurfacing.
Mililani Mauka-bound motorists are advised to proceed along the H-2 Freeway to the following Mililani Town off-ramp (Exit 5B), turn right onto Meheula Parkway, and make a U-turn at the Kuahelani Avenue intersection or to use alternate routes such as Kamehameha Highway. Additional police officers will be on-site at the Kuahelani Avenue intersection directing traffic to minimize congestion in the area. Electronic traffic messageboards are also posted in the area to notify motorists of the closure.
2) H-201 MOANALUA FREEWAY ON-RAMP, RIGHT LANE CLOSURE (FRIDAY NIGHT)
Right lane closure on the H-201 Moanalua Freeway in the eastbound direction from the Aiea Access Road overpass to the H-1 East off-ramp (Exit 1A) from 9:00 p.m. on Friday night, May 9, through 5:00 a.m. on Saturday morning, May 10, for lane striping and overhead signage repairs.
During these hours, the H-201 Freeway eastbound on-ramp from Kamehameha Highway near Aloha Stadium will also be closed.
3) FARRINGTON HIGHWAY LANE CLOSURES FOR STREET LIGHT REPAIRS (SATURDAY)
Single lane closures on Farrington Highway in the westbound direction from the Kahe Point Beach Park to Kili Drive on Saturday, May 10, from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., for street lighting repair work.
4) FORT WEAVER ROAD LANE CLOSURES FOR POTHOLE REPAIRS (SATURDAY)
Roving single lane closures on Fort Weaver Road in the northbound direction from North Road to Farrington Highway on Saturday, May 10, from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for pothole repairs.
Right lane closure on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction from the Pali Highway overpass to the Liliha Street overpass from 4:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 11, for shoulder dredging work.
During this time, the H-1 westbound School Street off-ramp (Exit 21A) will also be closed. Westbound H-1 motorists are advised to use the previous Vineyard Boulevard off-ramp (Exit 22) and turn right onto Nuuanu Avenue to access the Pauoa area. Roadwork is weather-permitting.
Three rightmost lanes of the H-1 Freeway Airport Viaduct will be closed in the westbound direction from the Airport on-ramp to the Kamehameha Highway/Aloha Stadium/Arizona Memorial off-ramp (Exit 15A) on Sunday, May 11, from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., for concrete pavement repair work.
All on-and-off-ramps will remain open during this time. Single lane closures may also be implemented on Nimitz Highway below the viaduct during these hours as a safety precaution.
Westbound motorists are advised to use caution while driving through the work area, to allow for extra travel time or to use alternate routes including the H-201 Moanalua Freeway or Nimitz Highway underneath the H-1 Airport Viaduct. Roadwork is weather-permitting.
