FACTSHEET ELECTION ADVISORY COUNCIL (EAC)

PURPOSE

Serve as an advisory group to the chief election officer on various election related topics.

DUTIES

Provides the chief election officer with comments and recommendations on matters relating to federal, state and county elections.

Provides comments and recommendations on prescribed rules and procedures.

Serves as the core group of the official observer team. Ensuring the adherence of counting center team activities to prescribed rules and procedures on election day.

Conducts a logic and accuracy test to verify that the ballot counting program is functioning accurately.

Observes other election related activities as authorized by the chief election officer or designated representative.
