Election Information Services (EIS) is a telephone information and referral service provided on Election Day. The purpose of EIS is to provide accurate and concise election information to all citizens statewide. The role of the EIS operator is to provide first level election information to the public.




In order to work on Election Day, a person must meet the following requirements:


         16 years of age on or before June 30, 2014

         Hawaii State Resident

         U.S. Citizen

         Registered to vote in the State of Hawaii

         Able to read and write English

         Computer Terminal Operators must be computer literate

         Attend a training session




Primary Election: Saturday, August 9, 2014

General Election: Tuesday, November 4, 2014




The Election Information Service operates from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.




The compensation for Election Information Services is as follows:


Telephone Operator $85
