I recently traveled to New York to participate in a meeting with corporate leaders organized by Forbes magazine and Forbes.com. We discussed a variety of current issues including the national economy and the Wall Street financial markets. I also met with Citigroup to discuss the status of our bond financing and Hawai`i's current economic situation.
My Administration is engaged in proactive steps to improve our economy. In the coming weeks, you will continue to hear and read more about our multi-faceted approach, including a five-point pro-active plan to improve the current economic situation and prepare our state for the 21st century global economy.
