"Robotics, in its purest form, is a fun and exciting way for Hawai`i's students to apply science, technology, engineering and math, or STEM, skills.

On Wednesday, July 2nd, from 10:30 a.m. to noon, in the State Capitol rotunda, Hawai`i's six robotics programs will be showcased for educators, legislators, business leaders, students, parents and the public.

FIRST Robotics, FIRST LEGO League, Botball, VEX, Underwater ROV and Micro Robotics teams will show us their incredible skill and accomplishments. For the first time, these successful programs will be coordinated through the Hawai`i Robotics Organizing Committee to ensure their long-term sustainability and continued growth.

I encourage you to attend this exciting and fun event at the State Capitol on the morning of July 2nd.  To learn more about how you can provide this opportunity to your students and schools, visit www.robotics.hawaii.gov."
