Congratulations Brigadier General Hara
Governor Lingle honored the service of Col. Gary Hara, chief of staff for the Hawai`i Army National Guard, during a ceremony to promote him to the rank of Brigadier General.

"It is very fitting to have this pinning ceremony for General Hara on the eve of the Fourth of July and it is my privilege to share this time with him," said Governor Lingle, who serves as commander-in-chief of the Hawai`i National Guard.
BG Hara has more than 34 total years of military service, 31 as a commissioned officer. He has served as chief of staff for the Hawai`i Army National Guard since June 2003.
