Many people in attendance had driven in from distant parts of the island such as Wai‘anae and hired baby sitters, and were left with no option but to wait in the halls of the Capitol. The committee reconvened around 10:00 p.m. only to recess for another 20 to 30 minutes as the final copies of the budget were printed. After the meeting reconvened, the chairs of the committees thanked and congratulated each other. Senator Hemmings made one final attempt to secure funding for TANF and charter schools but was not successful.
<dc:publisher>No publisher</dc:publisher>
<dc:rights></dc:rights>
<dc:type>News Item</dc:type>
