Governor Lingle announces this month’s recipients of the Governor’s Innovation Awards. The awards, which are part of the Lingle-Aiona Administration’s Hawai‘i Innovation Initiative, recognize deserving individuals, companies, nonprofits, organizations and government agencies that are developing innovative ways to improve Hawai‘i and to meet the challenges of the 21st century.

Governor Lingle signed into law two bills to protect the public from drunk drivers and reduce the risk of endangering the lives of children by preventing them from being left unattended in vehicles.

Governor Lingle congratulates the McKinley High School Robotics Team, which captured the gold medal at the FIRST Regional Robotics Competition in Portland, Oregon on March 1. The Governor will also announces details of the Inaugural 2008 NASA / BAE FIRST in Hawai‘i Regional Robotics Competition, March 27-29 at the University of Hawai‘i Stan Sheriff Center.
