Governor Lingle and Laura Thielen, director, Department of Land and Natural Resources, hold a news conference to discuss additional details of the state's comprehensive plan to reinvigorate Hawai`i's state parks, small boat harbors, trails, campsites, forest reserves and natural area reserves.
They are joined by Rep. Sharon Har, vice chair, House Committee on Water, Land and Ocean Resources; Aric Arakaki, National Parks Service; Suzanne Case, The Nature Conservancy of Hawai‘i; Clark Hatch, President, Diamond Head State Monument Foundation; Capt. Reg White, Paradise Cruises, Ltd.; and Curt Cottrell, Alan Carpenter, Ed Underwood, DLNR "Recreational Renaissance" team leaders.
