 Governor to Promote Tourism, Business Opportunities in Asia

Through bold efforts at home and abroad, the Lingle-Aiona Administration is taking proactive steps to bolster the state's economy. Next week, Governor Lingle will travel to Indonesia, Taiwan and China to promote tourism and business partnerships, a critical component of the Governor's five-point action plan.

Hawai`i to Host Pan-Pacific Robotics Championships

Mark your calendars for the inaugural VEX Pan-Pacific Championships December 4-6, 2008 at the Hawai`i Convention Center. Nearly 80 VEX robotics teams from Hawai`i, the United States mainland, China and Japan will compete.

To ensure Hawai`i's airports are prepared to respond in the event of an emergency, the Department of Transportation - Airports Division conducted its triennial emergency response exercise at Kona International Airport.
