DHS Bolsters Hope for Foster Youth

New strategies for strengthening at-risk families and assessing the safety of their homes have resulted in a sharp decrease in the number of children in Hawai`i's foster care system over the past five years. At the same time, the safety of children from at-risk families has improved nearly three-fold.
