Aloha and congratulations to the graduating seniors from Hawai`i’s public and private high schools, universities and community colleges.

As graduates, you have reached an important milestone in your academic and personal journey.

But this is just the beginning.

Each day you will learn new things about yourself.  You will be presented with countless opportunities, and in the process a unique chance to make a positive difference in the community.

Whether you choose to continue your education or enter the workforce, always follow your passion with enthusiasm and dedicate 100 percent of yourself to that goal.

Finally, remember that your accomplishments could not have been achieved without the support of family, friends, teachers, coaches and mentors who have guided, inspired and encouraged you.

To the Class of 2006, I ask you to keep the spirit of aloha alive and to always strive to make our state a better place to live.

Mahalo.  This is Governor Linda Lingle.
