Aloha,
As Hawai`i commemorates 50 years of statehood, residents are honoring our rich history as well as looking forward to our next 50 years.
All sectors of our community, representing diverse industries, ethnic groups and initiatives will gather on August 21 at the Hawai`i Convention Center for the "New Horizons for the Next 50 Years" commemoration conference.
The day-long event will feature something for everyone, including in-depth discussions about topics important to Hawai`i's future, unveiling our official state stamp, a career and job fair, and even a 1950s concert to end the evening!
I urge you to join in the discussion and make your voice heard. By working together, we can develop a vision for Hawai`i's future that includes a diversified economy based on innovation, a stronger public education system, and a plan to conserve what is special about Hawai`i.

Mahalo. This is Governor Linda Lingle.
