GOVERNOR'S KAUA`I ADVISORY COMMITTEE TO MEET ON AUGUST 14

HONOLULU – The Governor’s Kaua`i Advisory Committee will meet at 6:00 p.m., on Thursday, August 14, 2003 in room 2A & 2B of the Moikeha Bldg., 4444 Rice St., Lihue, officials announced today.

Governor Linda Lingle created advisory committees to give the neighbor islands a stronger voice in state government.  The Kaua`i Advisory Committee holds monthly public meetings to seek community input and advise the Governor of important issues, budget priorities, and recommendations for state boards and commissions.  The committee’s first meeting was held last month.

The members of the Governor’s Kaua`i Advisory Committee are James Anakalea, Linda Collins, Laura Cushnie, Kelly Banks Hoen, Vilamor Galiza, Jerry Ornellas, Barbara Smith, Matt Takata, and Leo Trinidad.
